Physician Assistant | Neurosurgery
Courtney Smith is a Florida native, originally from Pensacola. She began her academic journey at the University of South Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language with a concentration in Spanish. During her undergraduate studies, she had the unique opportunity to live and study abroad in Costa Rica, which further enriched her cultural and linguistic skills. Courtney then pursued her passion for healthcare, earning a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University.
Since joining Collier Neurologic Specialist’s neurosurgery team in 2017, Courtney has worked closely with Dr. Gary Colon, specializing in the treatment and management of brain and spine disorders. She plays an essential role in both the clinic and the operating room. Her broad clinical experience allows her to bring a well-rounded approach to patient care and deliver exceptional treatment for patients dealing with spine-related conditions.
Outside of her professional life, Courtney enjoys boating and spending quality time with her husband, two (soon to be three) young children, and two golden retrievers.
