Dr. David Cox is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological testing, with a focus on assessing memory impairments, ADHD, and other cognitive conditions. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University and went on to receive his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from East Tennessee State University. Dr. Cox completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology at Virginia Polytechnic & State University; then completed his internship in neuropsychology at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Cox completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Neuropsychology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, followed by postdoctoral supervision in Neuropsychology at the University of Florida Department of Clinical and Health Psychology followed by a research fellowship at the Malcolm Randal VA in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Cox performs comprehensive neuropsychological and cognitive testing to evaluate memory-impaired patients and diagnose conditions such as ADHD. His extensive training and experience allow him to provide valuable insights into cognitive function, aiding in the accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with a wide range of neurological and psychological concerns.
Dr. Cox also serves on the faculty of the psychology department at Florida Gulf Coast University.
